New union struggle for the year 2009 New union struggle for the year 2009

New union struggle for the year 2009
The new Directorate of FECAP, elected on 29 November 2008, hereby sends wishes for a new year full of prosperity to all teachers in Cape Verde, wishing them well, peace and a lot of professionalism to the new year that begins, expecting a engagement and involvement of its associates and all teachers for a noble struggle, which, as everyone knows, will bring added value to the union, work and defense of Class interests.

In view of the silence on the part of MEES, in view of the various problems affecting the Cape Verdean teaching class, although with much insistence from FECAP for the resolution of outstanding problems, 2009 will be a year of unremitting struggle and a total turning point. within Cape Verdean teachers, as a means of all those who contribute to the development of that country, also, be respected and valued for the tasks performed.

Teachers' problems have long accumulated in the drawers of MEES, without anyone being responsible for a clear and transparent resolution.

There are several reasons that lead FECAP, its associates and all Cape Verdean teachers to yet another fight ahead, as a way to see their problems definitively resolved, such as:

Specials
Progressions
Reclassifications
Hourly allowance
Isolation allowance
New salary scale for Secondary Education
Blocking of certificates by MEES, etc.
Dear teachers!

The appreciation of teachers is essential for the learning results to be satisfactory, which translates into quality teaching, comprising an educational system that attracts and retains motivated teachers, effective in the classroom and in their permanent professional development.

In view of all these problems that have already affected thousands of Cape Verdean teachers and, which is causing a climate of discontent, it translates into a farce on the part of MEES and a lack of respect for teachers in that country who, in a way, are indignant. Therefore, FECAP advises teachers to prepare within a few days for a new form of struggle (demonstrations and / or strikes) in all corners of Cape Verde.

DEAR TEACHERS, THE SUCCESS OF THIS FIGHTING DAY DEPENDS ON EVERYONE'S PARTICIPATION.

ENOUGH OF RHETORIC. IT'S TIME TO ACT!
